📌How to choose the right type and model of steel sheet piles?
When choosing steel sheet piles, the project's engineering depth, soil conditions, bearing capacity requirements and water-stopping requirements must be considered first. The following are common selection criteria:
U-shaped steel sheet piles: suitable for general foundation pits, river channel regulation, small retaining structures, stable connections, and relatively moderate prices.
Z-shaped steel sheet piles: suitable for projects with high structural strength requirements such as ports, deep foundation pits, tunnels, etc., saving materials and more cost-effective.
Straight-belly or combined steel sheet piles: suitable for large docks, deep-water foundations, and large-span structures, and need to be used in conjunction with I-beams.
