📌 Steel plate production process
The production process of steel plates varies slightly according to thickness and purpose, and is mainly divided into two categories: hot rolling process and cold rolling process. The specific process is as follows:
1. Hot rolled steel plate production process (Hot Rolled Steel Plate):
Steel billet preparation → Heating in heating furnace (about 1100–1250°C) → Rough rolling (initial compression) → Finishing rolling (control of plate shape and thickness) → Laminar cooling → Coiling into coils or shearing into plates → Leveling and shaping → Surface treatment → Inspection and storage
Hot rolled steel plates have strong mechanical properties and good welding properties, and are suitable for load-bearing components, large equipment manufacturing and structural engineering.
2. Cold Rolled Steel Plate Production Process:
Hot rolled coil pickling and descaling → Cold rolling (low temperature multi-pass rolling) → Annealing (softening treatment) → Leveling → Oiling or passivation → Inspection and packaging
Cold rolled steel plates have high surface finish and good dimensional accuracy, and are suitable for areas with high surface quality requirements such as automobile bodies, electrical housings, furniture and hardware manufacturing.
In addition, according to different application requirements, steel plates can also be sandblasted for rust removal, surface coating, anti-corrosion treatment, flame cutting, water jet cutting, CNC stamping, bending and other secondary processing services after production.
