📌The difference between galvanized angle steel and ordinary angle steel
1. Different surface treatment
Ordinary angle steel is usually a carbon structural steel directly rolled and formed. The surface is only treated with simple rust removal or anti-rust painting, and the anti-corrosion performance is weak.
Galvanized angle steel is hot-dip galvanized or electro-galvanized on the basis of ordinary angle steel, so that the surface is covered with a uniform and dense zinc layer, which greatly improves the corrosion resistance and can be used for a long time in harsh environments such as humidity and salt spray.
2. Different anti-corrosion performance
Ordinary angle steel is easily oxidized and rusted when exposed to the natural environment, especially in coastal or high-humidity areas, and has a short service life. It requires regular maintenance and anti-rust paint.
Galvanized angle steel has excellent anti-rust and anti-corrosion properties. Even at the seaside, high humidity or severely polluted environment, it can remain rust-free for more than 10 years, reducing maintenance costs.
3. Different usage scenarios
Ordinary angle steel is mostly used indoors, in dry environments or in projects with low anti-corrosion requirements, such as ordinary brackets, internal structural parts, etc.
Galvanized angle steel is widely used in outdoor facilities, high humidity areas, marine engineering, transmission towers, highway guardrails, photovoltaic brackets, municipal facilities and other occasions that require long-term corrosion resistance.
4. Cost and price difference
Since galvanized angle steel has an additional galvanizing process, the production cost is higher than that of ordinary angle steel, so the market price is relatively higher. However, in terms of long-term service life and maintenance cost, galvanized angle steel is more cost-effective.

The surface of ordinary angle steel usually presents natural oxidation color or the color after painting, and the overall texture is rough.
