📌How is hot rolled steel coil produced?
The production process of hot rolled steel coil is one of the most core links in the iron and steel metallurgical industry, which mainly includes five steps: billet heating, rough rolling, finishing rolling, cooling and coiling.
First, the billet is heated to about 1100°C in the heating furnace to make it plastic. Then it enters the rough rolling mill to initially roll the billet into a large slab of the required thickness. Then it is rolled through the finishing section for multiple passes to further control the thickness and surface quality.
The hot plate after rolling is cooled by the cooling device, and then the long steel plate is rolled into a coil by the coiler, which is the hot rolled steel coil (Hot Rolled Steel Coil). In the whole process, temperature control and pressure control are particularly critical, which determines the organizational structure and mechanical properties of the product.
The production line is equipped with an automated quality monitoring system to ensure that each coil meets the specifications, tolerances and performance standards required by customers. The mature hot rolling process not only ensures a stable supply of products, but also enables large-scale customized production.
