In March 2025, crude steel production in Africa was 1.9 million tons, up 0.6% year-on-year; crude steel production in Asia and Oceania was 123.6 million tons, up 3.9% year-on-year; crude steel production in the European Union (27 countries) was 11.7 million tons, up 0.2% year-on-year; crude steel production in other European countries was 3.6 million tons, down 7.2% year-on-year; crude steel production in the Middle East was 5.3 million tons, up 1.9%; North American crude steel production was 9.2 million tons, up 1.4% year-on-year; crude steel production in Russia and other CIS countries + Ukraine was 7.1 million tons, down 3.5% year-on-year; and South American crude steel production was 3.7 million tons, up 6.5% year-on-year.
