On July 1, China will renew anti-dumping duties for five years.

China's Ministry of Commerce announced on July 1, 2025, that it would continue to impose anti-dumping duties on stainless steel products from the EU, the UK, South Korea, and Indonesia for another five years.
This decision directly responds to the EU's recent trade restrictions on Chinese electric vehicles and continues the policy logic of the first round of anti-dumping measures in 2019.
Customs data shows that as the EU's third-largest export market for stainless steel, this tariff hike directly impacts annual trade between the two sides valued at approximately US$800 million.
The review results indicate that if the current anti-dumping measures were terminated, EU companies might once again dump steel billets and hot-rolled coil at prices US$100-200 per ton below their reasonable value.
